For all those competing in the Derbyshire Long Course meet this Sunday (7th December) a bus from Burlington Road (next to the pool car park) will pick you up at 7:00am to ensure we arrive in plenty of time for the warm up which is at 8:30am. Buxton Swimming Club will be holding their AGM & Team Meeting on Wednesday 26th November at 7:30pm in room DO/G14 in the Dome located on the ground floor.
Room Location: Enter through the main entrance at the Dome, walk through the Dome floor so you are on the opposite side and turn left. Follow this round looking at the numbers on the rooms.
At the AGM nominees for the committee will be announced and at the team meeting, we will issue some important dates for the rest of the season along with a short presentation. We would like to see as many of you there!

n Tuesday night (4/11/14) during a training session, we had a special visit from the Deputy Mayor of the High Peak to present Abbie with the High Peak Junior Sportswoman of the Year.
Thursday 6th November was also another special night for Buxton’s Abbie Wood as she was invited to attend the Derbyshire sports award where she was nominated for the Derbyshire County Council Junior Sportswomen of the Year in which she won. In 2014, Abbie made selection to represent Team GB again, this time at the European Junior Swimming Championships.
In 2013, Abbie was presented the the DCC Junior Sportswoman of the Year for her achievements throughout the year. Some of which were; Selection for Team GB, attending the Youth Olympics where she won 2 gold and 2 silver, at the same Games.
Buxton, DX & Team GB swimmer Abbie Wood retains the Derbyshire CC Junior Sportswoman of the year award. Congratulations to Abbie.
